        I have been going to Halcon for respite care for 15 years. All the bedrooms are ensuite and the most have hoists. The carers are very professional and friendly. The food is good. Now they have a couple of Wavs available they can get you around Taunton swiftly and easily. The location is very convenient for shopping, cinema and bowling alley. A team ensures you are kept busy. They are deemed excellent by the CQC.

        We use the Halcon center for respite. The Management were thorough, professional and sensitive in assessing our needs. The staff are caring and keep a great community spirit alive for the residents. The home itself is stunning with great gardens and community rooms (Sky TV room, Quiet room with wheelchair accessible residents kitchen and activities room). Rooms are on-suite and well decorated. The kitchen is open plan and all residents can watch the food being prepared from the communal dining room. Having said all that the best thing by far is the staff. It's obvious they love their jobs and the residents. They take time to engage with residents and make sure people are happy and comfortable in their surroundings.
