A very lacklustre defence by Simon Cobb in a criminal case, very poor cross examination of witnesses, didn't question a witness when she lied under oath, barely asking any questions despite having enough information to do so. Lost my case. Doesn't deserve one star.

I cannot recommend Bird & Co enough! They were absolutely fantastic with our purchase as first-time buyers that consisted of 3 people in the chain. Solicitors generally get a bad reputation for being slow and unresponsive. Bird & Co were the complete opposite, especially from my own experience with Rebecca Taskers team. I frequently emailed Lauretta with many questions, seeked clarification & updates and she always replied on the same day (majority of the times it was immediately!). The In Touch portal was extremely easy to use for uploading documents & keeping an eye on where we were in the process with its helpful, visual tracker. There could be some work done here to get this tracker updated more regularly though. They were the most expensive quote that we got from various solicitors, but they had a quicker average turnaround time from offer to exchange than others (was told 8 weeks, whereas others advised 11-14!), and we particularly liked that they had the online element for ease. So, we was happy to pay more for a quick process & to have it streamlined as much as possible. I like that other colleagues in the team pick up the communications while another is on holiday, which you don't sometimes find with solicitors. They also had so many good reviews which really helped to make our decision. We had instructed Bird & Co on the 20th September, and are completing on 16th December. This is a very quick turnaround considering that a seller in the chain was on holiday for one of those weeks which had halted any replies that we needed, and a solicitor in the chain was on holiday for 2 weeks at the start which had also slowed the process. Thanks again to the team for being very efficient, speedy and chasing everyone in the chain to get replies to enquiries received and property report written, all in time for us to get our wish of being in the property before Christmas!
