For those that have been following my engine change on my Discovery 3, you will be aware that I am doing a bit of preventative maintenance too. Part of that was to get the torque converter refurbished. I was recommended to go to a few places and settled, as you do, with the one furthest away from me in the NE of Scotland and that was Sussex Autos. I had been emailing Matt there and he just filled me with confidence. It cost me 10 with royal mail to send it with their 48 hrs service, Matt and the team refurbished it, and even sent me pictures of the work for my records and it was returned the day afterwards, even upholding my 10% discount voucher that ran out in Dec 22. I can't speak highly enough of them and would recommend them to anyone who's thinking of getting similar work done. Thankfully despite covering 203,000 miles it was actually still in good condition with expected wear but no major failings but all refurbished and good to go again. He did say that the oil changes that had been done previously had certainly helped extend its life it had been flushed before by the PO, and I changed it all last year before going to Norway.
