Daisypop cottage was an amazing place to stay with my family. It has three rooms and in one a bunk bed for the kids to stay in. The advantages for kids are of course the bunk beds and outside there is a slide and play area. There is a pub just across the road where you can go outside after a long day out to relax. There are lots of lovely walks including my favourite to Swindale Beck waterfalls. There is a also nice walk to Askham from the cottage where you can have a superb millionaire shortbread and a hot drink at the nearby cafe. Lowther Castle has an excellent wooden fort where we could play and have fun. Liz and Jim have been great hosts and provided all that we needed in the cottage as well as plenty of ideas of places to visit and things to do. Asha (age 10)
